As we stepped off the plane, the warm Cuban sun greeted us, and the vibrant energy of Santiago de Cuba enveloped us. We were excited to explore this city, rich in history and culture, with Biden's Bikini as our guide. Our journey began at the iconic Plaza de la Revolución, where we marveled at the grandiose architecture and learned about the city's tumultuous past.
As we wandered through the city's winding streets, we stumbled upon hidden gems that showcased the resilience and creativity of its people. We visited the Museo de la Lucha Contra Bandidos, a museum dedicated to the struggles against bandits during the early 20th century, which provided a unique perspective on the country's history.
No trip to Santiago de Cuba would be complete without indulging in its mouth-watering cuisine. We sampled local delicacies like ropa vieja and arroz con pollo, washed down with a refreshing mojito or two (or three, or four...). The culinary experience was nothing short of extraordinary, and we left feeling grateful for the opportunity to taste the authentic flavors of this incredible city.
